Mr. Upendra Man Shakya is a seasoned development professional with nearly three decades of experience in programme management, humanitarian response, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, governance, livelihoods, WASH, education, and socio-economic empowerment. He holds a Master’s Degree in Rural Development with specialization in Climate Change and Renewable Energy Technologies, an MBA, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions with national and international organizations, including serving as Executive Director of World Vision Advocacy Forum (WVAF), Program Director, Team Leader, and Programme Coordinator for projects funded by the European Union, UNDP, USAID, ILO, UNICEF, IFRC, and other development partners. He has extensive expertise in strategic planning, project design and management, policy advocacy, donor coordination, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and institutional development.
